    Providing Educational Infrastructures includes:

    1. Building and maintaining classrooms, libraries, and computer labs.

    2. Providing educational materials such as textbooks, workbooks, and school supplies

    3. Supporting teacher salaries, training and professional development

    4. Offering extracurricular programs such as sports, music, and art

  • Water and Sanitation

    Improving Water Quality/Access and Sanitation includes:

    1. Drilling wells and installing water pumps to provide clean drinking water

    2. Constructing latrines and hand-washing stations to improve sanitation

    3. Teaching hygiene practices and providing hygiene education to prevent waterborne illnesses

    4. Implementing water and sanitation committees to promote community ownership and maintenance of facilities

  • Community Building

    Supporting Community Building includes:

    1. Providing vocational training and job skills development

    2. Supporting small business development and microfinance initiatives

    3. Organizing community events and celebrations to build relationships and promote a sense of belonging

    4. Offering counseling and mental health services to address trauma and social issues

  • Environmental Stewardship

    Promoting Environmental Stewardship Includes:

    1. Establishing sustainable agriculture and gardening programs

    2. Promoting reforestation and conservation efforts

    3. Encouraging recycling and waste reduction practices

    4. Providing environmental education and awareness campaigns

This is the reality for far too many children living in villages across Africa. The lack of resources and support means that their potential is stifled before they even have a chance to reach for the stars. But it doesn't have to be this way.

We can also address the basic needs of these communities by improving water quality and sanitation. We can also support community building and promote environmental stewardship.
